I am so thankful that for the most pat, climbers have stopped using words like conquered and assault, and attack when talking about climbing mountains. Unfortunately, the media still uses them to this day. No one has ever conquered Everest, or Denali, or Mt Washington, or any bump on the planet. We are insignificant specks compared to the mountains. They will continue to kills us, humble us, cripple us, and occasionally, let us stand atop them.
