Rock Climbing Death Accidental

State Police in Hardy County say the death of a Virginia climber last week was accidental.

Adam Kopley of Spotsylvania, VA, 38, and three friends were rock climbing in the George Washington National Forest Friday when he fell about 50 feet. The investigating trooper says a large chunk of rock came loose from above and landed on him.

The friends had been climbing up and down the face of the wall for several hours when the accident occurred.
