I try to work in some training after I finish a session of rope climbing or bouldering in the gym, but the problem is sometimes, even though I feel like my muscles have something left to give, my skin feels like it is done, especially on pull up bars. Is there a way to keep training that is more comfortable for the skin once I've reached this point?

I feel like my skin is already as callused as it is going to get, but if you have a skincare suggestion you think might help, I am all ears.

you need a skin to pullup bar interface. Try these.

Do you use a hand salve? I've used ClimbOn! in the past but my GF didn't like the smell and I am like a slaveboi to her so I switched to metolius. Both work great at aiding skin recovery.

More healthy skin at the start of the session = more healthy skin at the end.

Apart from that, if you're just doing pullups toss on some gloves or something? I dunno. Usually just my tips get overly sore and I'm fine pulling on a bar/jugs.

Being limited by your skin failing before your muscles is definitely frustrating.

I've found that if you're using a chinup bar or large holds on a hangboard a good way to keep training with sore skin is to rest a t-shirt or cloth over the bar/holds. The soft layer reduces the abrasion on your skin and lets you keep training for much longer.
