so I was girth hitching my daisies this weekend and noticed that the girth hitching side had a half twist. Does anybody know the reason for this, and if it somehow increases the strength. Just wondering.

It helps the loops position themselves in front instead of off to the side when clipped to your biner that is attached to your aider.
Edit; I can't believe no one has challenged this yet.
I just happen to look at mine hanging there on my aider and noticed it. Don't know if its right or not.

The half-twist is for kink-free girth hitching to the harness it seems.

So obvious. OP, if you buy two daisies for aiding, make sure one has a twist to the left and other to the right. If not, your aiders won't line up.
