I have read several articles about a climbing ban in Masacre Rocks.. however these articles were fairly old and I was unable to reach a conclusion about what the current restrictions/bans are.. Does anybody know?
Thanks!

I've been wondering this as well but haven't found much. Try contacting the Boise Climbers Alliance.

I was last there this past November and nothing had changed, but I believe the new (relatively speaking) BLM head honcho continues in pursuit of a very restrictive climbing policy... just taking longer than she'd hoped, I guess. All about cultural resources, at least insofar as they are willing to admit.
The 'reach' of this policy will, or does, extend all the way over to Castle Rocks, sort of an adjunct to City of Rocks. For the latest, the local climbers are the best 'go to' source for an accurate and timely update. A great climbing site that would be sorely missed....
