Hello climbers,
I'm moving to Oahu for a couple of years (UH Masters) and wondering if its worth using up valuable luggage space on climbing gear.

From the web it looks as if there are some sport routes and bouldering, but some have been recently closed?

so basic questions are:
1: -How is the development on trad routes?
-How much potential is there for exploratory climbing?
-Is rock quality generally shitty enough to dissuade anyone from venturing out of developed areas?
-Basically, is it worth bringing my trad rack?

2: -Is there a strong climbing community?
-How much sport/TR is currently open?
-Is it even worth bringing my rope?

Thanks All!
