Hello. I like sport climbing, but really only climb in the high 4 and low 5 grades on lead. So ... I'd like to do a road trip in September in the US to catch some sunshine and sport climbing. Thinking of little RV and camp sites type trip. All advice on where to go very gratefully received. Cheers Wink

The US is a big place...

And there are a lot of sport climbing areas here. Perhaps a little research to narrow things down a little bit, like east states vs. west states; single pitch or multi-pitch; will you need to link up with partners; etc.

Thank you.

I am not so fussy about West, East (or middle) - just trying to find a place where for a couple of weeks we can play in the super easy grades with good bolting and sunshine before returning to a typical British autumn.

Climbing partner not an issue, will not just be me on the trip.

Here's a list of all the sport climbs between 5.0 and 5.9 with at least 3 out of 4 stars. Start sifting through the areas and see if anything strikes your fancy.

Honestly, you could spend all your time in Colorado, or Utah, or California, or Arizona, or...

Good luck with your search.
