we are professional manufactory export rock climbing chalk ball, but now my profit is very very small, 60g chalk ball is only USD0.55/PC, 350 crushed chalk bag is only 1.75/pc, I would like to know what is the reasonalbale price for it, as my profit is only 5% now, I don't know if I can add a little but it still have a good sell. What price per unit all that climbing hobbyer can accept?
Thanks for good advice.

Hi Jim,
Thank you for reply me, capitalism is good place that even bird would like fly to
Ok, If you can find some market, let's share this 5% profit together, you 2% me 3% or you 3% me 2% is also no problem, the best is if up the profit so that we can share profit more, it is no problem, how about my idea
Why is your product better then what is already available? As soon as you go bankrupt I will snap them up for a dime on the dollar. That is what I am waiting for.
climbing is very tight business to be in and your product naturally comes with low sale volume, tight competition and cheap climbers who rather pay nothing to keep their hands dry.
make a chalk that matches the color of rocks instead of white where it leaves a mess all over rocks.

I think you are an expierence climber & know well with climbing, but a little misunderstand my meaning, I quote the chalk ball such low price as we are manufactory, We not sell it tens or hundreds pieces, what we are deal with wholesale or dsitributor, then they supply to retailer, then the users, so the price is always quite different, such as I quote 0.55, but the retailer price is 4.5, almost ten times than me, if they sell 3.5, they must have no any profit as their cost inluding shipping charge, tax, etc.
I hope you can understand me well after such explain.

Climbers are born cheap . Even most wealthy climbers live cheap in their million dollar homes up in the mountains but these are the facts of dealing with climbers however, I wouldn't worry about climbers more than I am worry about china taken over.

I think what you said is true but It is not for all the products field, I deal with this climbing chalk since 1989's, but I keep the same price 0.55/pc 15 years, can you imagine what products can keep the same price in world market such long time? This is because I control whole process ourself, from make chalk power ourself, packing chalk ball & chalk bag ourself, supply distributor ourself, that's why we can control the same price ourself, but for some other field, such as led light, in the early of 21century, It was very expensive, It was monopolized by some big USA manufactory, they sell led bulb such expensive is they sell their technology but not cost, when the technology expand, the price will drop a lot, such as Chinese manufactory buy LED bulb from U.S.A supply USD1.00/PC, they sell their led flashlight USD2.00/PC,But after 3 years later, they can buy this LED bulb only need USD0.1/PC, how they can keep their led flashlight USD2.0/PC? if you are a chinese manufactory, can you keep this USD2.0/PC for a long time? if you say yes, then I can say your final is dead! because the market is compete market, your customers & consumers not allow you keep such high profit any more. The same reason to other products, such as some famous brand, they sale their products is brand but not cost, we supply our customer chalk ball with price USD0.55/PC, but when stick their famous brand, It will raised USD2.50/PC, the retailler will sell USD4.50/PC even more, this is not label cost such much, it maybe only worth USD0.1/PC, But the brand itself worth such more, If our customers not use brand worth, only compete with products cost, how does they compete with our manufactory directly?
Such long explain, I hope it can help you know well what is market, World is changing, you must follow changing, Of course I understand you, cut-throat competition always take much trouble with us, I hate so much!
