I dont know about Minnesota but if you are willing to go about 5 hours north of Duluth there is supposed to be some untamed stuff up around Thunder Bay and some better stuff around Lake Nipigon. Quite a trip, but they say it is worth it.

The Brickyards are cool, but also check the ice under the Franklin Ave. bridge as it is usually pretty decent and easily top roped. If you don't mind climbing at night you can sneak onto Minnehaha and TR from one of the trees above. I highly recommend it. In Hastings off 61 by the grain elevator there is a falls on the Vermillion river that freezes up on occassion and that is also worth hitting. Way up the North shore you have several small falls, and at Grand Marais there is a place called Devil's Trac(k?) that is nothing short of spectacular. Happy hunting, and have fun!!
