Since they had that cute little "Who would be the best bouldering-er?" poll, I was wondering everyone's thoughts on this:
Who would be the best aid climber and why??
My vote is for Ninjas. They are light, smooth in their movements, and could get on a hook without the hook even knowing they were there.
Any thoughts??

I say Lizards; I've seen em walking right up
stuff that I was aiding, and nearly peeing my
cool climbing pants in. AND; if it got to the
point where even THEY had the aiders out, U can bet they'd weigh a whole lot less than ninja warriors. Plus, they can take phenominal whippers and just walk away. I bet you could toss one off the captain and it'd scratch it's head and smirk.

French free the Reticent? He must have a third arm, it takes two hands to place hard aid placements. My vote is Spiderman, but really all it takes is a cool head and the knowledge of placing the gear. Oh yea, and the willingness to take huge whippers.

Yas got it all wrong!
It's them little tree frogs that hop out of the cracks at night! Those little buggers can climb anything....
Man, if I had toes that sticky, I could quit the aid climbing business!

I thought this forum was asking for the Best Aid Climber.
Half the responses are for Best Comic Book, and most of the others are for Best Free Climbing Animal or Bug.
C'mon Doctor, what sort of medication have you been prescribing for yourself? Nobody's ever seen the little Crack Frogs doing aid. Those guys are 100% free climbers (OK, they'll sometimes A0 onto fixed gear...)

I would be the best aid climber...because I can't free climb worth beans, but I want to go up there really bad...and I love Gear!

I'll agree that those little lizards can climb ANYTHING! There's nothing more frustrating than trying to place a difficult stopper, while slowly greasing out of a crack, and one of those dang lizards is hanging on to freaking overhanging rock SUNNING HIMSELF! I swear that they laugh at me. Stupid Lizards.
