they are obviously able to hold a great deal of weight and i dont see why they wouldnt work but on the other hand, it isnt designed for climbing specifically. so in my own opinion, i wouldnt use any of it. i just feel that things are designed for specific things for a reason, there for, i would only use the equipment that was made for climbing. as i said though, that is my personal opinion. others may dissagree with me.

Commercial stuff is built heavy to stand alot of abuse. Climbing gear is built strong but light. Stuff like the beam strap and steel carabinas would be ok for climbing I guess it's just a question of how small you can pack it or far you want to carry it
