Hey, I'm not in Seattle, but I will be for most of the summer. I'd really like to find some climbing partners, especially someone who can teach me some trad basics. When I'm in town, I usually climb at Marymoor 2-3 times a week, and Exit 38 on the weekends, but I really want to get to Leavenworth and other places. If you all are interested in having another get-together sometime after April, please let me know the details. Thanks.

Forcast for Sunday, March 2nd, is supposed to be only partly cloudy...i would guess something like it is outside right now. Not that I have much faith in forcasts...but, say it is nice tomorrow...or at least not wind and rain blasting... how about we try to make a go of it?

Marymoore...say starting around 11am?

Send me pms if you think you can play.

haha oh no he's not a climber at all. he just lives right near seattle. he's an author. more specifically, he's the best author who is still alive. he's pretty old by now i think, doubt he would be able to climb even if it was a hobby of his in the first place. which i don't think it is.

I dunno if I can make it tomorrow.

I don't know Tom Robbins, on a personal level, but I have sat next to him at the bar.

There is a local bar called The Blue Moon, that's where all the artist types hang out. He's probably there now.

Have fun all of you, climb safe.

tell me about the weather. i just got back from little si. It was drizzling all the way up and i though the rock would be wet so i didn't bring the rope.

I got to world wall 1 and the whole thing was all dry. that is definately the place to be on gray seattle days.

Misha...
What is the climbing like at Little Si?

We just got home from vertical world...tortured myself with some rather stretchy stemming routs. Gotsta love that pain!

Hey this thing is still on...as soon as we have what looks like some decent weather on a weekend. Keep hoping folks.

Little si is the shizzle. The main wall, World Wall 1, is a huge fortress of rock 200 feet high with steep routes (rare for washington) that are super overhaning with roofs and best of all jugs. There are 5.9's right next to 5.13's. It is awesome, best sportclimbng in the state.

The only downside is the effing gridbolting and occasional bolted cracks.

I have been staying off the computer for the most part lately trying to get tons of stuff accomplished. So it has been a while sicne i came by here.

Misha...great pics of Marymoor! What day were you there that the sky was so blue??!!

We haven't had any free days to head out that way on a clear weekend day...what few there have been.

But hey i started this thread as an open ended thing...and one of these days the weather will cooperate and it will all fall into place.

This weekend we go to brave the desert cool temps over at vantage.

Woohooo spring is here!
