Ok everyone, I'm bringing da booze! I have Moonshine, local Four Peaks Brewery ale, wine, and Rocky Mountain Mead! So while everyone is liquored up, I will be molesting all of your gear and pilfering them on Ebay. And you're more than welcome to bid it on it. Thanks for stopping by! :P

Y'all are scaring me. After reading the latest posts, I'm leaning towards 'it's a good thing' that I can't make it!

Have fun... but not TOO much fun. Sorry to miss this one. I'll be thinking of y'all while I'm climbing in Joshua Tree... hehehe, I certainly won't miss out on good climbing.

Have a toast with Marilyn's bathtub brew on me. Perhaps I'll catch some of you in Moab over Easter.

Cheers,
-kelly.

Skibby

Wiggle and I are planning on leaving Denver around 7:30 or so on Friday. So 10 ish is probably a safe assumption. I may have to leave late Friday afternoon though. I'll miss the moonshine.

I plan to leave Denver no later than 6pm. 7pm would be the ABSOLUTE latest so, no later than 9:30pm. Will we be able to get camping passes that late?

Hey MTNGEO,
Shoot me an email. Maybe we can cook up something and get a little more fun out of this. By the way, don't laugh, the guy I'm bringing is was in the Air Force.

OK, on a completely different note, do we have any Social Distortion fans in this crowd?

I just bought some tickets for their show in Denver on May 10th, and I am looking for someone who wants to rock out with me!

Any takers?

Here's the topo map for Riverside campground. As you can see in the map, it's only about a mile from the turnoff (when the crappy semi-paved road turns to dirt).

http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?z=13&n=4312218&e=467578&s=25

I may be interested in coming up Friday morning and climbing (all day), provided there's someone else there to climb with... I was previously working on putting together a Shelf trip for this weekend, but everything's up in the air with people sick and such.

Who plans on being there all day Friday, and what sorts of things are you looking to climb? I figure by Sat there'll be a quorum and plenty of people to pick up for climbs the next two days. I'm looking for some .8-.10 trad stuff, personally. Talking with Fran offline about Friday as I write this... who wants to do what where and when?

Anybody with a rack looking for a partner for up to .10 (I'll lead 5.9) trad on Saturday (at least)? My regular partner is heading to Indian Creek for a long weekend and trying to beg my set of cams for his trip. :) I can supply the rope.

Well, I should be able to make it, but I may need a ride. I'll know tomorrow if my friend is going or not.

If she can't go, I would need a ride from Boulder sometime after Friday afternoon, and one back to Boulder before Sunday night. Beer/gas shall be provided. :)

Flamer: I could possibly follow you up that 5.11, but I'll probably have to do some hanging on the way up...

Also, I just bought the guidebook for 11 mile. It doesn't have any good directions in it (it doesn't even have Riverside Campground in it) but its got climbing topos. So what I'll do is photocopy a bunch of the main areas and pass them out Friday night. Life is better with a Map.

Well, it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to make it.

My ride bailed on me, and I now have plans for Sunday, so I won't be able to make it unless somebody is daytripping down there on Saturday and can give me a ride...

Oh, well...

I'll try and make it to the gathering in RMNP.

But Neph then who's going to loan me a headlamp???? I can't be bothered to supply things for myself you know...

I've also been alerted to potential copyright violations regarding photocopying the guidebook. As a strict law abider and general good citizen (except for the goat thing), perhaps I'll just pass the book itself around...

Mike "The Mano" Dano- BTW, that is my new name for you. Get used to it. You don't have to worry about copyright violations unless you are selling the photocopies. Mr. D'Antonio may not like it but tough cookies. However, using company resources to do this photocopying may be a separate issue :D
I have a guidebook to so we may be able to all share or something.

For all the people heading down tomorrow morning, where are we meeting? Tracyroach and I will be showing up around 9:30 or 10:00 (correct me if I am wrong Tracy). So look for us. I will be the ordinary guy hanging out with the hot blonde.

Geez, between skibby and rockfox flamer isn't going to be the only one sleeping with one eye open :D

skibby, I know Mr. D'Antonio is a member of the site. That was kind of the point. Maybe I should have put a few extra smilies after that sentence.

But seriously kids, don't bootleg guidebooks. Buy Mr. D'Antonio a beer and thank him for his vast contributions to the rock climbing community. Don't sneak outside food into the movie theatre either.

i have never met a person from rockclimbing.com. and all of my friends have bailed one me. they "supposedly" have something better to do than climbing. i have a standard rack, and few ropes. all i need is a partner.
think i can just drive down to the campground in the morning and meet climbers there or what? what's going to happen?

climb on!

The visuals from this forum are killing me.

I aspire to see Geo in a bunny suit with underwear on his head. I think the ears will fit through the legs quite nicely.

Just for the record, my dog Torrey will be joining the party on Friday. She resembles a sheep, according to some but under NO circumstances is she to be substituted to support anyone's goat fantasies!

DO YOU HEAR ME!!!!!!

Hey Tracy and Mike,
I think Craig is out of control.
I was planning on going minimalist. I failed to inform him of this when I invited him to pair up with me.
He is bringing a 12' by 12' tent, queen-sized air mattress, grill or multiple burner stove (he's not sure which yet), a full ice chest with steaks and such for meals, a lantern.....the list is long. He was even talking about making reservations for a camp site. I just hope I have room in my Jeep for the generator and inflatable hot tub.
He actually asked if there were shower facilities there.
Do you guys think he'll get good reception on his satellite dish? That 40" plasma HDTV widescreen looks pretty bad without a good signal.

Geo, I may be nekid at one point or the other on Sunday but I won't be nekid in 11 mile. Sunday is Eldo day pour moi!

climb4life, bring your dog. I'm bringing my dog/sheep combo mutt and I think wiggle is bringing his as well. They can keep each other company while we climb.

Andrew, when you off Craig, I call dibs on the inflatable hot tub. It's really too bad. Craig was a good egg. He'll be sorely missed. SWIMSUITS OPTIONAL funeral for Craig in my new Hot tub!!!!
