Would anyone care to share their beta on the best, (most efficient), way of setting up a portaledge bivy? I'm befuddled by the proper sequence of events that should take place. After finishing the last pitch for the day and arriving at a typical 3 bolt anchor setup, what should I be thinking of next? Hauling pigs, a flagged ledge, along with a partner that will soon be around seems to amass a sh*tload of stuff that will be hard to work around. For a Gunkie, this is almost as problematic as trying to find a place to park at the cliff.

What? Can't you just park at the hairpin any more? OK, I am going to suggest that THIS POST BE DELETED Would you please be so kind as to go over to the link beneath, and read through this post, the bottom part of which talks about Constructing a Vell-Organicized Bivi and includes Vertical Camping Tips. You can click here to get Help [from] Dr. Piton - It's Eating Me Alive! After you've read through it, please feel free to post your comments and questions there, and I or others can answer them. This will help trim the choss in the Aid Forum, and keep stuff together where we can all find it. Cheers, mate!
