Go to the Frankenjura ! It is definetly one of the best climbing areas in Germany. You also get very good beer there !

Copy that!
Frankenjura is the sh&t! If you stay at the campground of Kletter-Omi, in Unter-something, you are bound to meet other climbers.

Well, Frankenjura is one of the best areas worldwide, I think. You´ll find around 5000 routes there. But you won´t find very many very easy routes there. The best ones aren´t easier than 5.7 ...

Yes, Amberg is the heart of the Fränkische! And there might not be many interesting routes under 5.7 but you'll soon reach this level (<6 months) if you are really commited in climbing!
I think I will soon go climbing there again, like in september or october... I miss Frankenjura, its beers, its cakes with cream, its truits with almonds, its flowers on the windows... Yes, I love it!

if you are looking for easier routes, try "südliches Frankenjura" in the "Altmühltal". There is a new book about that regions. It is not that big than Frankenjura, but it is still quite nice. You can stay at a "camp ground" in Konstein. The last time I camped there it was for free. The meadow belongs to small farm and they have a restaurant there. For camping on their ground you go eating there, once a week or so. But that was some years ago. Check it out ! I have put some routes in the database of Germany.
