I got a -20 DryLoft bag from them about 4 years ago (don't remember specifically which model). It's held up beautifully. My first time to test it was on an ascent of Mt. Sneffles in Feb., we went tentless and dug a bivi-trench at about 11,500. I couldn't believe it when I woke up at 1 a.m. not just OK, but toasty warm! Just like all down bags, it takes a little more attention, but the warm/weight is worth it! Good luck! bw

In reply to: ... this looks like a decent company... Ian That's the understatement of the year. IMHO they make the best bags around, bar none. They can be a bit expensive, but if that's not a problem you can't get better.

I own a Apache Super Microfiber and I love the damn thing! I would suggest this brand to anyone and everyone! Deffinately worth the price. Also check out Feathered Friends as you get more choices as far as shell material and color. Both companies are top of the line and their craftsman ship is unbeatable in the USA. The are also rated optimistically in my experiance, which is a good thing. Check out www.backpacker.com and do a forum search there...lots of info/opinions...

Can't go wrong with Western or Feathered Friends, both great little companies with incredible attention to detail. Yes, it's extra dough but well worth it.

I have one and love it. Worth the extra money for the value you get. I would love to get a Beothuk for warm, light summer conditions.

I'll add another 'me too' to this thread. I have a W.M. Antelope Dryloft (I think it's +5), have had it for about five years, and it's held up great. Completely worth the money.

I have a versalite with 2oz. of overfill and its an amazing bag. It's rated to 18F ish with the overfill, and I could definately sleep down to the high teens in it (cold sleeper). In hindsight I would have gotten the Apache MF, but all of my criticisms of the versalite are nitpicky. The construction is flawless. WM's craftsmanship and attention to detail is certainly worth the extra cash.
