Howdy All,

I'm going to be permanently moving to FC in the next week and I should be settled in my new home on June 4th. I already know about HT, Eldo, Wedauwoo, Innerstrength, etc., I just looking for some local climbing partners to get me oriented to the area. I'll drive and will climb up to 12s if I find a motivated and safe partner.

i am not in fort collins anymore, but one of my favorite places to climb around there is called grey rock. here is a link to a site about it. the rock is about 2.5 miles from where you park, but the approach is on an established trail, next to a stream, and at the top of grey rock there is normally a large pool of water. super fun easy trad, with great scenery.

Shaggy,

I also used to live there, and climbed daily at the Tropics, Duncans Ridge, Rotary park, Torture chamber etc. The dams being reconstructed screwed up the Tropics and the Torture Chamber, but im out of the loop a bit. Go hang at Inner Strength, Mike and Tracy (the owners when i was up there) can defititely point to a good direction as well as the other climbers in the gym. Good luck!

Jason(will move back to Ft Fun soon enough...)

Hey shaggy I live in Ft. Collins. I mostly climb traditional routes. There is awesome stuff around here! LOTs in the Park (Diamond, spearhead, petit, notchtop etc...), Lumpy ridge, Vedauwoo, Eldo, Combat rock, Grey Rock, Poudre canyon crags(sport), The Monastary (sport), horsetooth for bouldering...

Thanks all.

We'll I've made it! 30 hours of driving and a 2 hr powernap and coffee stop in KC. Fort Collins is even greater than I ever imagined. I've already found my two favorite joints in town. Big City Burrito and Consuelo's!!! Ummmmm Hot chilli sauce!!!

I've been in FC for 4 days and already Paganmonkey boy was kind enough to show me around Horsetooth. Thanks dude.

PM me if there are any other locals who want to break me in to the area!!!

J
