The best thing about this site is we all have acess to an unlimited pool of knowledge.Once you get your head around the fact that there is seldom a clear cut answer for anything, you are away laughing.
Another advantage of sites like this is we are breaching the social restrictions that generally keep the different climbing "codes" at arms length from each other. I know there are a few bone heads in here that think their way is the only way but 99% of us get along just fine.

I have met a few people on here and stopped in to climb with fiend on my way across Canada. I also met biff on here when I came to Calgary and plan on going climbing with him sometime. I found out about local gyms and areas when I got here and I plan on reading the article on "Finger Strength" soon because I need to work on that.

I love the site, but I'm an admin so I'm biased

Rockclimbing.com is the best site you can find if you want to learn. I love the forums 'cause everyone gives their opinion and you can see different points of view.

The biggest way this site has influnced my climbing is opening me up to different aspects of it. After being on here and reading all the posts for ahwhile i have felt the urge to take on all types of climbing. Things like trad that before i had no real interest, are now things that i am going to try as soon as i possibly can.

I now feel highly insecure about my sport climbing. I have come to realize that sport climbing is really satan's work, and we should rid the planet of its existance.

Woohoo sounds like a plan!

Not been here too long, but reading forum posts has made me think about safety more, and as soon as the sun starts shining again, and some climbing can be done i'll be checking those anchor systems better.

I don't really believe that it is an unlimited source of information. RC.com is limited by several factors: the quantity of members, the quality of members, and the how much information the members are willing to share with eachother.

Umm, let me think. It hasn't affected my climbing at all. However, it has helped me to get to know certain people better. However, I've got to go with uncle-stu on this one though. Sometimes, I send too much time in front of the computer. But not tonight!! I'm going climbing.

My climbing started the week I found this site, all together.
I've met, physically, so many people from this site, specifically:
broganadams or brogan
tradgirl
High
heinouscling
rrradam
ikaren
jaybee
f_d
his daughter
and more tomorrow

I read this site daily, online daily...give this trip I'm on.
I've read and read, and read.
I enjoy the interaction..

ONE THING FOR SURE!!!

This site does NOT keep me from climbing...
It get's my ass up, and motivates me to go...or read up on things related to my climbing. I just haven't turned on the TV, in weeks, nor read a newspaper...
as silly as it sounds??? This site, give's my brain the information it needs, instead of sitting infront of a TV...sucking in the miniscule brain waves, that TV can do to me.

I'm BLESSED by the all mighty goddess!!!!
!!! I am blessed to have found this site!!!

Just enjoy this site AND climb!!!!

T
