Hi, i like lot of pictures in this page. They are great. However, i see that MANY MANY times the climber is not wearing helmet !!!! IMHO, a climber should ALLWAYS wear a climbing helmet !!!!! Of course, there are some particular exceptions, like top roping in a gym, for instance. But my rule is, BE SAFE, use your HELMET !!!! What do you think?? JUAN

Almost every (recent) picture that I have of me climbing...and there are plenty...you'll notice a brain-bucket on my noggin'. Prior to '98, I didn't own one and so I made an agreement with my wife...that if she bought me one, I would wear it. I've had a few chips of rock bounce off my skull-cap at Tahquitz and am very pleased that it was plastic and not flesh that took the hit. "Tis better to have a bucket on your brain than to have your brain in a bucket..."

My helmet always comes in handy when I stand up and bump my head on overhangs. DOH!
