I am planning a road trip and would like to know about easier routes at Rifle. I climb around .9 to .10b. would rifle be a worthwhile stop for me?

Probably not. There are a few routes (less than 6 probably) of that grade. Typically they are fairly greasy on not much to write home about. If you climb in the 12's that place is heaven. If it is just a stop along the way to somewhere else I would say go for it. Otherwise I wouldn't bother.

There are actually some nice easy routes at Rifle, few but nice. Jump on the trail to the Ice Cave and there are a bunch on that wall. They start at 5.7 and up. There are a couple of really nice 10s over there. Sorry I can't remember the name. There is also an 8 or 2 on the wall located across the street from the arsenal.

A better spot if you plan on stopping around Glenwood or Grand Junction would be the Puox. Pick up Western Sloper for more info on it. Or you could go to Unaweep Canyon for a little granite sport.

It was not long ago when I was wondering if there was anything easy at riffle. It's true most of riffle climbing is pretty hard, but if you spend a fair amount of time there, you will find some really killer routes that are in your ability level. Here are some good routes to climb and a couple of must do,s.
(ice cave walls) Wake up call 5-10(tricky start, great finish)
Continental breakfast 5-10 b(polished but great)

(step it up) Plastic prince5-11c(hard,but all so worth the work)
(ruckman cave) Pellet gun 5-10d (one of my favorite 10's at riffle)
(nappy dugout) Pms 5-10 (this route rocks))
Pmt (also fun)
(the hot potato and spuds in space are as easy as it gets, and are fun too.)
These routes are super fun if you take some time and work them out.Have fun and good luck

The routes in Rifle are rated for redpointing and are a tad bit harder than you would like them to be.
There are one or two (if that) easier routes, but they are greasy as all hell...
