Maybe climbers could assign difficulty grades to dropping objects on non climbers. Any great stories out there? Do they say ouch?

Of course, the problem being some people would probably start calling themselves 5.12 droppers, others would only drop while free soloing, and some would eschew grades altogether cause "its so uncool."

I'm saying, think how difficult trad slab routes could be; overhanging rock would be far too easy. Maybe this will save Suicide Rock from being made into granite countertops.

What Freddybobby is saying is that he has no idea what he's talking about, and he's jealous that he didn't invent the T scale.

Harsh...take it easy on the guy.

My main problem with this is that if I drop something it will probably hit my belayer/fiance...and then she would drop me. no good.

i think i get it.

instead of rating a trad route by difficulty (how hard it is to climb) rate it by how hard it is to drop things onto non climbers from the route (e.g. it will be really hard to hit a passer-by on a slab, but really easy from a roof b/c ur directly above them).

that said, it is still a moronic post.

I think it's too late. The demand for tabletops has vastly outpaced the demand for climbing slabs.
