I was wondering if anyone has resused there fuji waterproof cases? The case and camera at (walmart for instance) cost $9 and it appears to be nothing more then the Fuji 800 speed camera body in the plastic case which sell for 2 for $8. When I worked at a photo lab I used to take the batteries from the disposables that were in the recylce bin but I never really needed a waterproof camera so it didn't occur to me to check this out. I'm about to finish the roll off on the disposable and I'll be checking out if it works but if anyone has tried this before hand and wants to save me $8 by letting me know if it works or not please feel free to let me know.

my girlfriend works in a photo lab and i asked her the same question... she seemed to think that the seal was permenently damaged, tho a bit of silicon might do the trick?

I worked at a photolab for the past couple of yers. I am not sure with the Fuji camera, but I know with the kodack ones the trigger ssembly was different. I belive that as long as you put some silicone around the edges it would be waterproof.
