Any interest among local or visiting climbers towards organizing a trail and trash day at Franklin Gorge on Sept 6, the Access Fund's Adopt-a-Crag day? I'd love to meet some more of the folks who travel to and through the region, and it would be a great way to revitalize this gorgeous little crag. PM or reply here.... I'll check back soon. R

Mike, I am all about a trail work day at franklin. Even though I am not climbing as much as i used to and i picked up tons of trash out there i would love to help out an official trail day. I will mark it on my calendar. Jason

Thanks, Jason... I appreciate your efforts with the trash pick-up, as well. It's still early... hopefully more folks will jump in on this. We'd like to look into getting several of the local businesses involved, as well... guess you'll be the WV rep... LOL... Watch this space for developments...

I’m game for the 6th. Unless I have a race (pretty slim chances). I frequent there quite often so I defiantly wouldn’t mind giving back to the gorge of Franklin. Ryan

Mike, I have some bad news. I am not going to be able to make it on saturday the 6th. I unfortunately forgot that I promised my parents I would go and visit them that weekend. So I will be up in philly eating some cheesesteaks and having some fun just not as much as you guys are going to have. I will try and give you a call sometime so we can maybe go out and climb or do some clean-up. Take it easy Jason

No worries, Jason.... with the overwhelming response I've had from the locals and visitors alike, I guess I'll take a weekend off from being one of the two sole caretakers of the crag... I'll leave it to the unleashed dogs, path-oblivious groups, and Falcon-toting gymbies to deal with for a while longer, yet.... Disgusted but not really surprised /Ronin

So is the work day on or off for this Sat. at Franklin? I was thinking about coming but if it's off, I may climb elsewhere...
