Anyone here passed any barriers or achieve any goals lately? I finally passed the 5.11 barrier after climbing for just over a year. I've been training pretty steady both doing hard bouldering and working on my endurance and finally was able to send a couple 5.11s today. It's only on toprope not a big deal, but i hope to reach that level soon with leading. Just thought I'd share it with u guyz, you're like my climbing family or something. I'd like to hear some recent accomplishments by anyone here. Don't be shy!

Sure did. I broke the gear barrier and got enough trad stuff on my rack to expand my climbing from only bolted routes to limitless possibilities. :D

In reply to: ... and finally was able to redpoint a couple 5.11s today. It's only on toprope not a big deal Might want to watch your terminology or the board crazies are going to eat you up. If you did a route clean on top rope, thats exactly what you did, a route clean on top rope. Redpoint is not an interchangable word for that. Redpoint exlcusively is linked to sending a route while leading. Not dogging you, grats on the break through, just trying to save you some miscommunication!

I finally started leading 10 trad, it's nice and fun although when you hurry up to get through the hard part, stopping to place gear can be a b*tch

I have been stuck trying to send 12 for quite a few months. Over the weekend I ended up redpointing 12b after only three tries. Needless to say, I was completely surprised!! Oh well, I know 12 is lame, but that is my broken barrier. RJ
