Please help me! My schedule has been crazy lately and I haven't climbed in over TWO months. Any words of encouragement? I need motivation...very badly!

Remember back to what appealed to you about climbing in the beginning. Find the excitement that you found the first time. Think of the companionship you've missed, the beauty that awaits you, the sleek sheen of pungent sweat on that hardbody that flirted with you two months ago. Go! We're waiting. Hey Sister, Thank of all those opportunities you are missing by not being out in God's creation and sharing that something special you have. I read your bio. If you are like me I often wonder why God wired me to love climbing as much as I do. I feel that it is two fold. One, that it is a way to worship him through his creation when I press from move to move touching the rock that he made and enjoying the day he has made. Two, it gives me a chance to meet others and plant seeds. Your sister in Christ, Deb

In reply to: Please help me! My schedule has been crazy lately and I haven't climbed in over TWO months. Any words of encouragement? I need motivation...very badly! Wait wait wait. Do you need motivation or a less crazy schedule? For my part, motivation comes and goes. Sometimes I'm psyched about climbing and can't get enough, other times I wish there was more snow so I could go skiing. I am amazed by the people who have really made climbing their whole life. I love seeing the intensity and focus. I just have too many things going on for that. Crazy schedules come and go too. The rocks will always be there for you. That said, fall season is awesome at Devil's Lake with the autumn foliage and cooler days - better than the sweat-drenched slipping off those slick little holds summer time temps that you've missed. Good luck carving a little climbing niche out of your busy life, T

About two weeks for this girl, so I have a taste for what you're going through. Good luck and just try to get out there ASAP. I'm breaking my dry spell tonight.

In reply to: God willing, I am going to hit the gym tomorrow Well, if you happen to speak with him/her, could you ask for good weather in the Mid Atlantic region this weekend? The heathen UnaBonger
