It's edited by Rachel De Silva. It a collection of essays by women climbers about their experiences, or rather the experiences thay have had because of climbing and the things they have learned about themselves because of climbing.

Anyhoo,

Oohh...I'll have to pick that one up. I'm finishing up "Liars Club" by Mary Karr right now. Great book, although not about climbing :)

I'm interested to hear what y'all think. It looked like they were all mountaineering essays to me, so I put it back on the shelf. Were there rock stories too? "Rock and Roses" had some of each and was a decent read too (despite the stupid name given by the male book editor...like crazylikea said...in case we forget that we're women.)

There are essays about rock climbing. I remember one about Yosemite in particular.

Rock and Roses? What a silly title. I've always kind of wanted to write/ edit a book about women and climbing. I have no clue how I would go about such a project however :roll:
