I was just cleaning up my book shelves and I looked at the back of my Gunks guide as I was reracking it the photo on the back just screamed out to me. It's a climber on Foops (i believe) wearing black spandex tights with neon yellow spandex top. This got me thinking of another photo with the neon pink and yellow spandex tights that I've seen recently. I realize this was a popular style back in the old days and I was wondering where it went? If it will ever come back? And where I might be able to purchase such a wardrobe? Any ideas?

neon spandex is still very around... in the rowing world that is. Check out and practices or regattas and you'll see electric orange pant wearing crews flying by, mostly the men wear hot couloured dex tho.

I have a bunch of twenty year old photos of me leading routes at the Gunks and in Joshua Tree wearing multi-colored lycra tights. Needless to say those photos (much less the tights themselves) will NEVER EVER again see the light of day. Scary.

Jono, I wonder if you could get rid of that image in your sig. We've all seen it now and it's a little embarassing that someone might walk past my desk and see it. The animation makes it very eye catching.
