Thanks for the info Chris!

I called Green Valley Farm, and they have a lot of sites open for the weekend, so I am guessing that is where we'll be staying. Most of us are going to roll in Friday afternoon, and we'll be climbing all day on Saturday and Sunday.

ramylson and corpse - keep me posted regarding your plans.

Sort of off topic....

Out of curiosity, anybody in WI ice climb? I'm gonna be home (Milwaukee) for winter break and have always wanted to check out what exists for ice down in WI, likely at Gov. Dodge and a few other places. I'm gonna be around from just before Christmas to mid to late Jan, so stuff might just develop. Anybody interested?

There is some ice that forms up in Starved Rock State Park in IL but not sure about Gov. Dodge. There is also a place called the Ice Pit in De Pere, Wisconsin that you might want to check out...it's a quarry that they run water down to create climbs...kinda like Ouray but without the mountains...

If you make it out to Vail drop me a line...we've got some world class ice just outside of town...

So who's going this weekend? And who's going next weekend?

As for camping, I'm planning on staying at Green Valley, I called Kay last night to tell her I'm coming down on Friday (17th) but I'm only staying for the night. If anyone wants to crash with me, just tell kay you're looking for Chris, and she'll show you where to go. Or if you want to find it yourself, I'm the last camp site in the field over the hill. I'll probly get there around 8, and I have a green dodge dakota.

Chris -

There are six of us from MN heading down tomorrow (17th), and we are also staying at Green Valley. Two of us will be there mid-afternoon (hopefully in time to get some climbing in), and the rest of the group is going to roll in around 6:00 or 7:00. We are going to be in the 'alfalfa field' - wherever that is... I drive a green Saturn, and Sung drives a silver Civic (I think he'll have his car there). Track us down when you get there, and we can throw back a few beers around the campfire.

well, I'm royally bummed... Work is going to swallow my whole weekend -I got have tight monday deadline.. If I meet my deadline, I will have a happy boss that won't mind me disappearing for a few days... We name stars, and Christmas is the busiest season.. I was so anxious to try out my new fabric covered air bed too - I finally got smart.

That sucks Josiah.. but, what are you going to do. There's always next weekend.

I'll be up at the lake Saturday morning, early. There's still a possiblity that I'll be rolling in Friday night, but it wouldn't be until really late (like around midnight or so). We'll see about that.. either way, I'm sure we'll be running around the East Bluff on Saturday morning. Most likely between 8:30 and 9:00am. Look for a black, modified VW Jetta. So, Chris.. you planning on climbing on Saturday? Or, just up for the fun Friday night?
