AFS Guida Rigidity Questions, conflicting reviews

Simple Question. Are Asolo AFS Guida boots stiff enough for steep ice?

I've searched for the past two hours porbably, and have found that some people are saying they're great for it, others say that they're not stiff enough and lead to discomfort and major calf burn.

I'm considering buying a pair. Them or Koflach Arctis Expe's. The Expes are a medium to narrow boot, and my feet are wide, which the guidas are (so I'm told). I dont Climb hard though, and really dont get into seriously cold situations (except last year..holy crap it was cold), so the price break on the Guidas over the Expes is nice. Though I do like toasty feets :D

(Edited the subject to hopefully suck some poor soul into answering me  )
