I've got all the gear needed for following... but i need to learn the basics right now. I live in san diego and was looking to meet up with an advanced aid climber that could kinda show me the ropes. Of course we could free climb other stuff as well. Anyway, in exchange i'd be willing to cover gas, food, and yes... even beer. You can reply below or pm me if interested. rock on, nic

Try and find an AMGA guide, that's my recommendation. That or a hard core bad-A$$ like Mark Synnott who I learned from :)

It's pretty easy to do. At least on clean stuff, once you get to nailing, hooking and heading it gets a bit tricky but it's still pretty simple. I taught myself and I was 12 or 13 years old. So you being an adult will figure it out with out much trouble. But if you got the money you could hire a guide to teach you, might save you a few days.
