The only things that I know that are going down are Chris and I are planning on going to the Lake this Saturday (I think), and then I'll be going down to the Red the weekend after that. And, I think I saw something were that same weekend there are a group of people going down to Southern Ill.

Erica.. now that you have wake to wake.. when do we get to see a backroll?

Seriously.. never received anything. I definitely would have responded to anything you would have sent. Either way.. sorry. Anyway, I'm still planning on going to the Red. I need to get down there once this season (at least), and Jen as never been there. Not to mention, I know a lot of other people that are already planning on going there. So, maybe some other time. It's not that I wouldn't mind going back, I love that place. It's just not going to work out this time..

Chris, doesn't look like I'll be able to go tomorrow now. There's a small chance.. but, it's not looking good. If you want, PM me your cell number (I don't think I have it anymore) and I'll let you know later tonight.

Alright chumps we need some kind of get together for all of us college students who have nothing to do over break. I say we just pack up and drive somewhere for a few days it does not have to be red rocks or J-tree we all do not want to spend money so why not HP 40 or someplace warm and within a 10 hour or so drive? Come on we can keep it around $50 for a 3 or 4 day trip or so, maybe even less if needs be. My ghetto mobile can pack in 4 people, the bumper is held on by webbing but IT CAN GO ANYWHERE! Anyways sound off. Who is for HP 40 or the likes? only rules are that it must be warm and within a 12 hour drive give or take...

Count me as interested in HP40 over break....my break is from the 22nd to the 18th of Jan.

Also, I'll sort of repeat my post from page one. Any fellow WI area people interested in ice climbing between the dates mentioned above? I'd like to see what's at Gov. Dodge, though I'd be up for a little trip up to the UP to get on some bigger stuff.

I have plans to meet up with some guys from redriverclimbing.com, they are from Il and are going to show me around Holy Boulders. However, I really really want to get some pics at Dixon Springs. Been there like 5 times but never took a shot.

Would otherwise love to goto HP 40... just not this year.

Is dixon springs in tennessee? I thought Holy Boulders was Southern Illinois? I would come along depending on how cold it was. Just let me know.

Not sure where Dixon is, but the Holy Boulders are north of the typical Southern Ill hot spots. I have yet to be there, but some friends have who said it was super cool. Just FYI I guess..

Also, winter at HP40 isn't exactly warm. You can expect mid to high 30s, possibly low 40s around January. Although, that does mean that you get perfect friction. You know, I wouldn't be against going down there.. just depends on when everyone is planning on going. My winters are crazy with coaching ski racing, so it would have to fit into that schedule.

Dixon Springs is located in Southern Illinois... it is home to some old John Gill boulder problems. Pretty cool place, probably a days worth of bouldering in a small boulderfield.
