I just want to know one simple thing (well I hope so):

What things should I check out in my rope, if I want to have a safety climb?

Thanks.....

Search the archives on this one and you'll find a ton of stuff.
I've seen this topic mulled over several times.

These are the basic rope killers: sunlight over time, chemicals (acids, especially), cuts and impacts (rocks falling onto the rope), and severe falls. Light abrasion and fuzzing of the sheath is not especially serious, because most of the strength comes from the core. If you run the rope through your hands, and feel a lump, or "dent", that can be quite serious. Some light falls won't affect the strength too much, but I wouldn't use a yo-yo rope for long, steep runouts.

about the fuzzing part. Make sure the core isnt showing at all. Like said fuzzing isnt a big deal. All it is, is a protective sheath.
