Hey Scuba, anytime you want. I am up for new people and new climbing all the time. Later today I will compile a list of all those that replied and send out a mass PM and I will periodically post this again to try to get new memebers. What are you up for and when???

Ok, this is the last time this week I will refresh this post to the homepage. After this I will send out a welcome letter to all those that wanna be part of this secret organization. The only requirement is that you like climbing and relaxing and know how to share. You don't even have to be potty trained. Come on, I know the potty thing was holding some of you back  .

GOING TO CLIMBNASIUM TONIGHT IF ANYONE WANTS TO JOIN IN PM ME

Indiana, PA here.
I do most of my climbing in SWPA and WV.
Been climbing w/ charley, johnfromohio, and the niceporch and had a blast.
I've probably climbed w/ more of you and not even realized it.
My job inhibits me from doing tons of climbing, but I'm always up to tag along once in a while on the weekends.
I've been wanting to get out east for some time now.

I'm still curious as to what beef you have with the PAC. I may be at climbnasium tonight too ~8:00-8:30. Maybe we can talk there. My name is Josh.

Jkarns, I never said I had a beef with PAC. I certainly wasn't trying to start an argument. In fact that is the reason I am trying to get this group together. I just don't want something so organized with agendas that don't focus on just having fun. Please, don't take offense because I don't want to be a part of PAC. It was just what I said, I don't like to pay fees to be part of a group and I want something relaxed. Just, let it go man.

Rockshox19,

I would be interested.

One thing to consider however, dont write the PAC off all together, they are under new orginization and a new pres. I met the guy who is the pres. now and he seems like a real great guy who will make a lot of changes for the better in the orginazation. I agree there were a lot of issues in the beginning but consider this.

A climbing community is just that; a community. Individual orginizations count on pulling in new members and getting a good show of members and support. If a motivated individual like yourself were to join the PAC you could help to move the orginization into a progressive direction. The Pennsylvania Mountaineer Assoc. has severely dwindling numbers from what I am told and I am not sure how many members are in the PAC right now but why not all get together and decide to back one existing group so it does not fall apart completely. Orginizations can be as good as the members want to make them.

Those are just my thoughts however, please don't take any offense to my views.

Anyway if you are in the Wilkes-Barre, Scranton area and need to get out climbing we have some nice 100+ foot high sport areas that are super. PM me if you want to climb anytime. Im always looking to get out.

Roclimb: Sounds great and no offense taken.

I will state this for the record: I am not upset with PAC, I don't dislike them or anyone in the organization nor do I truly have negative feelings for most people out there in this world. I am not trying to overthrow PAC or anything along those lines. I simply wanted to get a group of people together in the area and have some fun times. I am not president of this group, nor will there be any president or fees etc... It is just another way to get together with other climbers. I love the climbing community and have had mainly positive experiences with other climbers. If the PAC group wanted to chill with me and crash at my joint they would be more than welcome and that goes for any climber out there. I am glad they under new leadership and that people in the organization feel it is taking a turn for the better. I hope everyone has a great day :D :D :D , sincerely

This sounds good. I live in Pittsburgh. Acutally, I spend more time riding than climbing this time of year. Any mountain bikers out there who need a tour of the amazing local singletrack just let me know - we have lots of it around here. As far as climbing - I'll be more prepared for that once I clear up this nagging tendonitis. My schedule can be rough (2 kids/wife/house), but I still make room for fun.

ROCLIMB - Are any of the areas you speak of near Scranton/Wilkesbarre relatively close to Pottsville/Frackville? My mother lives up that way and breates me about not visiting, this way I could combine the two. Over christmas I saw a slew of boulders along the way, hopefully once the deep freeze hits I can go and check some of it out. but, i would love to have a place to do some sport without having to go all the way to the New every weekend.
