Hey all, planning on heading out there for the first time

never been there before, any recomendations in the moderate range

also is there any difference in going 80 to 395 vs 50 to 395?

Yup. Big difference. Go 50 to 89 to Gardnerville in NV, then South on 395. About 5 hours that way. 80 might be the way to go if snow is in the forecast. When are you heading down?

presidents weekend. its a little far ahead to check the weather for storms and what not which wouldprobably affect the route

well, where do you want to gamble? Reno or Lake Tahoe? Thats the *real* deciding factor.
