I heard rumors of high quality sport routes in the Susquehanna River Valley in Pennslyvania, but have yet to find any beta concerning where or any guidebooks that have been published. Anyone who has got any beta for Penn (as well as NY) sport climbing areas?

Yes, there is some quality sport climbing along the Susquehanna river in PA. However, virtually all of it is on either Norfolk Southern land or PP&L land and is closed to climbing. I know that the climbing community is not known for its poatience; however, if you can wait, there is a good chance that climbing here will become legal.

The best sport climbing in Pennsylvania is in West Virginia.
