With having jazz band rehearsals all week (and sucking because no one practiced over our two week spring break the week before), my class and I competed in the BC Interior Jazz Festival. And we did well. Better than well, we had some hot shot tenor player come in and critisize us on three ensembles, and he said we did really well, but our drummer made us suck in one part of one of the pieces. Yeah, sooo cool. Last year we played in the same festival and placed first. Yeah, we're THAT awesome. And we got invited to Nationals in Montreal (May 2004), and so hopefully this year we don't lose that goodness. Personally, I didn't think we were going to do very good at all, but it turned out I was wrong. No, I wasn't wrong. I am never wrong, I just changed my opinion. So that makes you wrong. But yeah, I don't know if we won yet or not. I'll tell you tomorrow whether or not I did. But, I don't need some score sheet to tell me that our class won. I'll just beat the shiznat out of the edjudicators and scare the feck out of them until they change their minds.

In reply to: What do you play, and what songs are you guys playing? K. I play the trumpet, and we played three pieces: Ivory Blues, Lone Wolf and Journey to the Shadowlands. We tied for first place in our category with our school's other grade 11 jazz band. Preeety cool.
