Give me a hand here please... I want to buy some Yates gear but haven't found any online retailers that sell any of it. Specifically I'm looking for their wall ladders and adjustable daisies. Usually I buy stuff from GearExpress but they don't seem to carry this line of stuff. I emailed Yates but the email I got back gave me a list of rescue online equipment companies that don't carry the aid gear I want. Thanks! Bryan

Wow...the wonder of Google... It appears that if I would search before posting I might find out the answer. :) Anyways...I found that Mountain Tools and Backcountry Gear sell the yates stuff I am looking for. Any thoughts or comments on either of these stores? Bryan

In reply to: hmmmm....maybe yatesgear.com just a crazy thought Thanks for the crazy thought but there is no "Buy" or "Purchase" button on Yates' website. Oh and according to the email I got from a Yates employee...
In reply to: We have a full line of dealers and distributors, so we do not solicit sales with a shopping cart function - out of respect. So :P Bryan PS - But seriously...thanks for trying...

Weird. I bought my Astroman directly from them. Call them up and get them to tell you where a distributer is. That would be nice to include on their website. I talked to Mrs. Yates last time I called. Nice woman.

I understand them not wanting to really compete with their retailers. Thats why I went to the site...saw no shopping cart function and then emailed them. But she directed me to a bunch of rescue companies. Anyways...Mountain Tools seems to carry the toys I want right now so unless I hear that they are horrible then thats the route I'll be going. Bryan PS - How do you like that Astroman?

In reply to: In reply to: hmmmm....maybe yatesgear.com just a crazy thought Thanks for the crazy thought but there is no "Buy" or "Purchase" button on Yates' website. Go to their website, pick out what you want to buy, then pick up the phone and call it in. Simple as that. They even have a toll free # so it costs you nada Orders: 800-YATES-16 I've purchased all my Yates ladders, daisies, etc from them by calling and ordering, they get it to you superfast too!!

In reply to: Go to their website, pick out what you want to buy, then pick up the phone and call it in. Simple as that. OK Ok oK Oh-kay I know they have a phone number. But like I said...they seemed to encourage me to purchase from one of their retailers. So that was what I was trying to do. Don't shoot me for trying to follow directions. :) Thanks for the input moabbeth! Bryan

They(Mtntools)'ve been extremely friendly and pretty knowledgable to me... just curious what your experience was. Then again, I have a huge order out with them right now and it hasn't arrived yet... if its screwed up I'll post some negative stuff later ;-)

Is easy to order Yates gear. Call them up and place an order. They are great to deal with. Fast & efficient. I order all my Yates gear over the phone directly from them.

In case anyone cares... :D I decided to ignore the wishes of Karen Yates (she suggested I order from one of their retailers) and follow the advice of rc.com'ers. I picked up the telephone and gave Yates a call and had a decent interaction with a live human being. Go figure :) I ordered on Monday and my two wall ladders and two adjustable daisies arrived on Friday. Thanks again... Bryan

Try www.rescuesystems.com and get their catalog. Their site stinks but the catalog has lots of Yates gear w/ decent pictures.

speaking of selling yates gear, any one know of a place relatively close to the sac area that has the yates harnesses to try on, would rather know it fits me comfortably and buy it that way than guess that it will
