One year ago, while walking barefoot in my bedroom, i hit (unintentionally) my bed, and fractured the little toe of my right foot. What an stupid accident!!!!
It took 5 weeks to completely heal. The good thing is you usually do not have to wear a plaster in those cases. You probably just have to tape the broken toe togheter with its neighbord and REST...
Be patient.....
It is not such a long time after all!!!!

Good luck,

JUAN

My old climbing partner tore every thing in her knee and every thing in her elbow, has 7 sliped disk in her back and 2 in her neck. The only thing the doctors said would get better will be her knee maby.

You "just noticied"? It didnt hurt at all? I might have misread, but thats funny if you just look down and say "well what do ya know, my foot is broken" hehe.
That really sucks man. I hope it will get better fast!

I find it funny that you just noticed too. I decked off of a climb last year in Red Rocks and broke the 5th metatarsal on my right foot. Put a cramp on my climbing for around 3 months, but after that I was back into the swing of things (with a slightly larger pair of shoes and a tendency to favour my left foot in foot jams). So cheer up, you'll hopefully be back on the rock before the summer's over. And just think, if you can wear boots, you can still aid climb

Just role with it. Theres nothing you can do. Climb to early, and you risk injuring it again. Maybe start doing more pullups, and increase upper body strength.

That so sucks, Ooze If the 5th metatarsal (?) is the little toe, I fractured mine last year right before heading off on quite a strenuous hike through the desert. The good news is that it healed pretty quickly (about 5 weeks to 100%) so I hope yours does too!

I had a severe sprain in my foot a couple years ago. Almost one whole year later, I did the same thing to it, same spot, but it didn't take nearly as much. Just goes to show that injured limbs injur easier a second and third times around. BTW, Hope you feel better soon, injuries are real bummers.

It can still be your year. When I broke my foot a couple years ago, I continued to climb in the gym one-footed. I built up massive (for me) upper body strength. When I started climbing outdoors again, I redpointed a route on my first attempt that I could not even get off the ground on before my injury. About a month later I redpointed a route two letter grades harder than my previous best, and a month after that redpointed my first 5.12.

The worst injury must I say. Is my current. Or should I say? Current in care. LOL. If you don't know I had surgey yesterday (dude, the operating room is one scary place) and the stupid doctors again 'misguessed' at what happen. I have to set a date for an other surgey. Dude, how many surgies do I need?
