Does anyone know where to buy climbing and/or mountaineering inspired artwork? I'm not talking about those cheesy "inspirational posters" or prints. I know there are a lot of good photographers out there, but I've had a difficult time finding any original paintings that I would be proud to display in my home. Any thoughts?

jerry- I went to your site and really loved your stuff, especially the more abstract stuff. i definitely remeber seeing your work in magazines. do you actually sell any prints, like this forum was talking about? I'd be really interested...otherwise, I still love your work. -taylor

There is an amazing artist by the name of Steve Wood based out of Manitou Springs, CO, who does lots of public art projects, but his mountain images are awesome. I dont have his website, but try to google Public Art Associates. Another fantastic artist is John Svenson up in Haines Alaska. John's stuff has been used by many outdoor companies, and he has been published in all the climbing magazines. For history buffs, John has done some amazing climbing in the Alaska Range, and is a guide. His website is www.extremedreams.com. You can also check out a new thing he did for Omega Pacific, a painting showing the Seven Summits, drawn together. They have it on an ice axe. Also, check out one of RC.COM's own, Katy Sheehan, at www.katysheehan.com. Awesome shots, great person.

Randy Rackliff's woodcut prints are well known as illustrations for many of Marc Twight's earlier writing. He's selling them from his website: www.coldcoldworldpacks.com
