First of all, forgive me for some extremely elementary questions. I am wondering if someone can give me some pointers on rigging a semi-high short line. The gap is around 35' across and about 30' up. I have several points to anchor off of on each side:

1. How do I ensure that no abrasion takes place to the line or anchor lines at the lip of each cliff? SHould the line itself begin just beyond the rock?

2. How should I double up the line? I have a pulley tightening system. Is the 2nd line not tensioned?

3. How long of a leash do you recommend.

I have 3 years experience walking 50' and under lines just never set anything over 10' off the deck. Thanks very much.

I Pad my edges with a pad, cardboard or backpack.
I use 2 tensioned lines and one non tensioned line taped together.
My leash is just long enough to not hit the back of my foot when I step forward.
Setting up a highline or midline is no joke. Just trying to figure out yourself how to set up a highline sounds like a bad idea. Getting information here is no substitute for hands on experience with someone who knows what they are doing. Good Luck.
