So I have to drive the three and a half hours from Lincoln, Nebraska to Sioux Falls, South Dakota this weekend for my cousin-in-law's graduation. Now, graduations suck just all by themselves. They suck even more when you're a Nebraska climber (Nebraska has no outdoor climbing) who doesn't yet own a rope and trad gear, but will be within spitting distance of the delicious Sioux quartz of Blue Mounds for two whole days and unable to climb there. Unable to climb there unless, that is, some kind soul offers to share a toprope, preferably on Sunday, May 9. Beer or other libations will of course be the reward for your generosity; I'm in good with the liquor store owner in Luverne, having fixed her crashed cash register (running Windows!) just last weekend, when I was there on a trip with a friend who does own the requisite gear. He, unfortunately, is climbing in Colorado this weekend. So, any offers?

http://www.minnesotaclimbing.com Post there, there's many guys who are all about Blue Mounds on that forum (and here, too). Even if you can't get a partner for this weekend, if you're ever there again, you can hook up with one of those dudes.
