Or, "favourite" for the many non-Merricans here :)

One thing I am sure we all struggle with is trying to make our images unique, but it's hard- climbing photography just lends itself to several overdone conventions. Ya know, the hand-in-focus-blurry-face-so-RAD!!! shot, the silhouette (bonus: silh. in the middle of a monster sun flare), the rapping off at the end of the day shot... la la la. I personally have so many of these I've lost count!

But, well, whatcha gonna do? Sometimes these pics turn out to be pretty decent, or at least personal/sentimental favorites. So let's embrace the cliche! In the spirit of "breaking the rules," what is your favorite "gee, that's been done but dammit, I LIKE IT" pic?

I'll start, with one of my early silhouettes.

Some random Norwegian Camp 4 indigent trying not to cream his knickers at Yosemite. He was gettin' all dynamic (on slab!) and I liked his legs, even if it is a silhouette. Plus, it's in Yosemite, which gets me warm and fuzzy.

And you? :)

Haha, unabonger: Somehow that pic is just cool. :D

I've got a decent rap pic or two, but I think I like this generic sunset one a lot. We all see so many sunset pics, and very few are any good (I love the JTree ones). This is mine, even though the sun doesn't actually "set" up here at this time of year. ;) This was taken at about 10:00pm.

Wierd. I swear I didn't write the last line that was in my post "I've been that tourist...". Did someone edit my post? I edited it back. Oh well. Twilight zone shit.

Digging up an old thread (sorry), but I couldn't resist when I found this picture in an old shoe-box...
