Does anyone know how the anasazi's compare to the new mad rock loco's? I will soon be needing new shoes, and for only $89 the loco's look like a bang for my buck, but i had my eyes on the anasazi's.

Anasazi's in a slipper sounds way too cool! For a 100 bucks I'm willing to try them and I'll bet anything they'll be five ten's best selling shoe soon.

How do they compare to the Moc? huh that is like comparing apples to derigibles. If you have Mocs and like them stick with 'em. That is what I plan on doing.

Yeah, they do have a lot of shoes. And they are the best shoes. Maybe their website has a forum too. Can you compare that to a "derigbles."

Great shoes, not much rubber on the heel though. Edges great, just like the Anasazi Velcro.

The Anasazi Slippers sure do look nice, but before you buy them, I would recommend you check out the La Sportiva Venoms too.

If you’re looking for slippers may I recommend Evolve Rages. Super comfy and very technical, and for the price their well worth it. I haven’t tried the 5-10's but defiantly give the rages a look if you can. Their an awesome shoe

Overall better than the Mocs. If you get them tight then the foot tension makes them work. With the price, performance, name brand and 5.10 rubber, this will be a very popular shoe.

The shoe says that they are made for bouldering and gym climbing... But looking at them there is no rubber on the heel..... WTF? I guess you don't really heelhook that much when you boulder......

I'd recommend that you check the recent shoe reviews in both R&I and Climbing. The Anasazi slipper was reviewed in both mags.

In reply to: The shoe says that they are made for bouldering and gym climbing... But looking at them there is no rubber on the heel..... WTF? I guess you don't really heelhook that much when you boulder...... I think they got smart and figured out that putting a lot of rubber on the heel of a slipper is useless. They need to put more rubber on the heel of the anasazi velcro though.

I own these shoes, and they work great for me. I saw someone asking of they were better than the Zlipper, and I used to climb with those, and yeah, I think the Anasazi slipper is better. I mostly just use them for sport routes, not bouldering. If you're known for heel hooking, don't even try a pair on. They're horrible for heel hooking. I'd also be careful with how you size em, because if you size em really small and have to crank really hard to get them on, you could be in trouble because there is only one pull tab, which I think could break. Other than that they're great climbing.
