I'm a happy Boulder, Colorado climber about to follow my girlfriend out to San Diego so she can go to grad school. Can anyone tell me where a good place to live in San Diego is that is close to some decent bouldering and/or route climbing. I mostly boulder and trad climb, but do some sport as well. I'd like to live close enough to a crag or bouldering area that I can get out 3-4 days a week, possibly after work (teacher) if necessary. I don't expect to live in Boulder 2.0 but I'd like to set myself up close enough to something fun. Thanks. PS - If theres somewhere close (20-30 minute drive) to UCSD in La Jolla that's even better.

there are plenty of routes and blouders with in 20-30 drive from UCSD and La Jolla. Check out the San Diego Climbers coalition website at: http://www.giantsoftware.com/sdcc/ Also you can pm me if you like when you get here and we can perhaps arrange a climbing tour.
