I am looking for some long, moderate multi-pitch (over 5 pitches, 5.8, 5.9 range) climbs in Colorado.

Depending on what part of the state you are going to be in, RMNP is probably your best bet for moderates over 5 pitches. Eldo and Lumpy Ridge have a lot of great multi-pitch trad climbs in the 5.8/9 range, but I don't think most of them are much more than 5 pitches.

Try Halletts Pk or the Petit Grepon for some true classics in that realm.

I think it would be best to narrow it down to where in Colorado. There are probably 100's of climbs that fit your request.

I'd second the recommendation for the Petite and Hallet Pk. Also in RMNP, you have Sykes Sickle (5.9+, but only a couple of moves) on Spearhead, South Ridge (5.8 or 5.9) on Notchtop, Kor Route (5.8+) on the Saber, and a fair number of others that are all high quality and reasonably protected.

Sundance Buttress on Lumpy has many excellent routes in the 5.8-9 range which are all about 6 pitches. Yellow Spur in Eldo (5.9) is 7 pitches, although many are short. In the Black Canyon, there are quite a few routes 5.9 and under that are very long (like 2000 feet!), but most are obscure, chossy, and pretty serious.

It depends on what you mean by long.
There are many 2-3 pitch moderates in Boulder Canyon. Cob Rock has a high concentration of 5.7 - 5.8 2 pitch climbs and across the road is one of the best moderates in the canyon (Bitty Buttress, 5.8+) which has 3 really good pitches. Near there, on East Bolb Rock there is a 5.9 3 pitch sport route called The Young and the Rackless. And there are many more good ones.
Everything that has said on this thread so far about Lumpy, Rocky Mt. Nat. Park and Eldo is also true. There are so many good moderates that it realy depends on what length you want.

The rte on Halletts that was effected by rock fall was Northcutt-Carter, one of the Fifty Classic Climbs. However, there are several other climbs that rival it in quality, Culp-Bossier being one I would rec. to anyone capable of leading Alpine 5.8.

I was on Hallet's last weekend. Only the Northcutt-Carter was affected by rockfall. It is now more like 5.10. Culp-Bossier is still a little wet in places but fun.

ELDO
Rewritten 5pitch 5.7
Bastille 3pitch 5.7
Ruper 6pitch 5.8
Longjohn Wall 4pitch 5.8
The Great Zot 4pitch 5.8+
Green Spur 4pitch 5.9
Yellow Spur 5 pitch 5.9

Theese are all AMAZING routes and there is an insane amount of 2-3 pitch routes of the same grades in Eldo as well!!

I don't have much experience with other places  exept Boulder Canyon and I like Eldo better

Hope this helps
peace
