I just moved back to the bay area after a few year absence and I'm currently unemployed and can climb pretty much any time.

I'd like to hit up some of the local areas midweek or do an overnight trip to the sierras if anyone's interested.

I have a full rack, rope etc. I can lead trad routes around 5.8/9 and high 10s/low 11s sport.

PM me if you want to head out midweek sometime.

Im in a similar scenario (grad student and prefer to climb during the week to avoid the crowds). Im in Berkeley and up for local stuff on short notice(diablo, etc.), but prefer the Leap, Sugarloaf, Donner, Phantom Spires, etc.

I try and get up there at least once a week. I lead 9's, ocassionally pushing into the 10's and sport at high 10, low 11...full rack, etc. Let me know if you want to get out sometime.

I just moved here for grad school in SF and am looking for a partner to climb with some mid week and weekends depending on school. I haven't learned to lead, but can follow/clean up to 5.9+ cracks, maybe 5.10 and have top roped 5.10c faces. eager to climb more. mostly been climbing at donner, did some at Indian Springs(Eagle Lakes exit on I-80). don't know much about climbing around the bay area though. Interested to take trips up to sierra's and other places, as well as see what's close by, but prefer sierra's. let me know if interested.

so, you don't mean Maryland, Oregon, North Carolina, ... bay areas?

You never specify. Almost all coastal states have atleast one "bay area."

Everyone else seems to assume SF, so I will too. I don't live there
