I know alot of Deleware Water Gap is Trad, I have heard of some sport but I read elsewhere that bouldering does exsist. I looked on the RDB but didn't find anything. Directions, Grades, Classic Problems, that'd be great....I wouldn't ask for any of this but being I didn't see anything..you know the deal

Thanks All

Chris

Heres another one,

http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/...%26.src=gr%26.view=t

It's a spot I discovered a few years back. I showed it to a few friends. I guess word is getting out. We developed some classic problems there as you can see.

I wish I could just copy the photos from that site and just paste them here somehow, but I can't figure out how to do it. I guess I'm jsut a speedbump on the information superhighway.

Rob--

I've seen you post these photos a number of times, but you never give any directions or any idea of the extent/quality of the bouldering. Is there some kind of access issue we should know about?

Access Issue?

Well, yes and no. Most of the boulders are in the park boundary but some extend about 1-mile outside the boundary, those boulders are on state game lands but to access them you have to park on private land in front of a farmers house. We had permission to park there for a while but then someone new bought the property and seemed to not like us parking there and walking through his property to get to the rock.

The rock that is in the Water Gap Park's property is odd too because you have very little room to park on the roadside. I may have an alternate route to get to both sections of the area but I have to go and walk it when I get a chance and make sure the route is through the park service property.

Other than that the quality is 4-star and there is a decent bit of rock.
If you want directions I can give them to you though, I don't forsee any major problem just a little hastle I think can be worked out.

Hello Rob. I can't believe my ears that there is bouldering in DWG. I live only 15 minutes from 4 star bouldering. I would love to meet up with you and take a tour. Hope to hear from you soon
