Not to dissuade you from your goal, but have you climbed anything else in BVC? If not, I suggest doing one of the better routes. Wild Turkeys, Sour Mash, Yellow Brick Road... all of these are higher quality, IMO. If you have been there before and don't want my advice, then I'll be happy to STFU. :)

They're all 10s. Turkeys and Sour mash are both 10a and the Road is 10b.

Do you know anyone in Vegas who could give us hand and show us around?

Seems like there is always someone posting about needing a partner in Red Rocks. Did you check the partners forum? Go back a ways, since people often will post far in advance of their trip.

I did POD about a month ago. Was great. A couple pics are posted in my profile, if you wanna check them out. But after doing it, I also heard similar comments to j_ung's about how the adjacent routes are very good if not better than POD. So do what you want, but keep those in mind. You can also walk up and decide what you feel like after getting to the wall. Make sure you have a comfortable harness and shoes or you will be a little unhappy with that aspect as I was.

Make sure your car has high-ish clearance and that you have factored time in for the almost-hour-long hike up the wash to the climb. The best directions to the climb are in the thick Falcon guide to Red Rocks.

PM me if you want more specifics or any more advice. I won't be out there this weekend though. You can also look on the partners forum at climbingredrocks.com.

Good luck.

the difference betwee POD and those other routes is that POD is bolted and the others are gear routes. Somthing to consider when looking for a partner.
