It hasn't snowed there for about 5-6 days so you should be fine.

hey, if it does snow before you get there, you might try driving to lone pine and check out the alabamas...not as good quality but a bit waarmer.

You are one of the few that appreciates my username.:) Do you get the whole meaning? Anyway, if you are driving up from the south just swing by the Alabamas, it was real nice there last week. Kind of have to look for good rock though. If the weather is good, the Buttermilks should be fine and there will always be someone to hang out with and grab a spot or two from. Depending on how hard you boulder, there are plenty of moderate problems where no spot is needed. Be sure to stop by Wilson's in Bishop and pick up Mick Ryan's bouldering guide. Even lower than the Buttermilks is the druid Stones where there is almost never snow. It is just a bit SE of the Buttermilks.

There is an updated version of Mick's guide out now. If Lisa Rands is not on the cover of yours, you have the old version. the big fold-out format is a pian in the butt and confusing as heck but once you are oriented it has tons of useful info.

There is definitly no snow there. I was just up there a few days ago and it was perfect weather outside. It was a little cold at Owens Gorge in the shade, but the buttermilks is very nice.

No snow at the Buttermilks, even in the shade. Climbed there yesterday, warm to hot in the sun, freezing cold on rock that hasn't seen sun. Supposed to rain/snow tomorrow and Thursday: http://www.crh.noaa.gov/...y=CAC027&city=Bishop
