Haha... Saved is deemed more damaging than Secret Window. These people consider multiple murders to be better for children than teenage pregnacy and baptists who ostracize others. I guess these are the "moral values" that came into play during the election.

On American History X
In reply to: Like we really need another movie presenting a school shooting. American History X presented this and the most foul word of the foul language 186 times, 97 uses of other three/four letter words, racial hatred, prison rape. murder, and sexual intercourse. And all in 114 minutes! That is what American History X was all about. Bad and vulgar language 149 times per hour! And just because this movie is rated R does not mean kids under 17 will not see it. One of the 15-year old school yard shooters of 1997 saw The Basketball Diaries (R, 1995) when he was 14. Not one of the previous movies I have analyzed drowned any intelligent dialogue with as much filthy potty mouth language as this one. Because of this movie, I may swear off of analyzing R-rated movies. American History X also presented intimidation by firearms, murder by firearms -- including a school shooting -- and the swastika profusely. The swastika represents more than just Nazi Germany. There is much more to the unholy swastika. If you wish to know more about it, visit our Back to School Special from our opening screen. Besides, Jesus does not want us to wear tattoos: Leviticus 19:28 (NIV) "Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the Lord." Beatings, Nazi worship, and nauseous brutality violated almost every sense of the observer. American History X was thick with racial slurs, derogatory terms, threats of every kind and hatred. A most vile movie. dumbfuxx. and these people decided the election.

In reply to: BWA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!! The review of Dogma is CLASSIC!!! Yeah... I think it got a worse score than American History X. Funny how these people think. I guess insulting their religion is a big no-no if you want your movie to pass the CAP standards.

In reply to: Murder/Suicide lost no points due to the Hollywood-style war deaths. Death due to war is not considered murder y the CAP Investigations Standards. The Hollywoor-style war deaths were incorporated into Wanton Violence/Crime. (taken from the analisys of Forest Gump) Now that explains a lot... - Daniel

anyone look at jay and silent bob strike back? Silent Bob (Kevin Smith - the writer and director of this movie) becomes unsilent. And it is foul when he does. Foul is the norm for this movie. For our antagonistic [(adj.) 1. ready to be hostile; unfriendly] visitors who think we only count cusswords, there are at least 224 uses of the most foul of the foul words and at least 184 uses of every other example of the three/four letter word vocabulary. Mom/Dad: With that density of profanity it is likely I missed some of the offensive programming and this is before ive got down to the report!!!!!

I am not particularly religious so I take no personal offense to this thread. That being said, all of you clowns yucking it up in this thread should know that: You aren't tolerant You aren't open minded You don't embrace diversity Grow up, enlightenment isn't slapping a "Free Tibet" sticker on the Subaru and laughing at Christians.

Maybe they should have made it less realistic to appease the religious right.

In reply to: In reply to: Grow up, enlightenment isn't slapping a "Free Tibet" sticker on the Subaru and laughing at Christians. I second that and I'd never laugh at someone because of his faith in something. But when the belief is just knocking on rules, closing the eyes to the world and discriminating anything slightly different than people should be prepared that I at least try to make some good jokes about. Faith should free your mind, open your eyes and make you handle things with inner security. That what all the New Testament is about! I do have a christian background and read the bible intensivly. Never read that it wasn't allowd to have fun though. - Daniel :righton:

I'd agree with that. If folks want to live their lives as strictly as these folks do, I guess it's their choice. I feel sorry for them though.
